Kowa LM6HC Helping To Conduct Research of Reefs in Gulf of Mexico
(Image courtesy of FWC) For the past several years, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission – specifically Fisheries Independent Monitoring (FIM) has been conducting ongoing research at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico – studying reef fish populations and gathering independent data. This is done using camera pods which can be dropped to depths of 180 meters.
